| Description: | This study presents a classification of the agricultural lands located on the right bank of the Ebro river extending from Logroño to Albalate del Arzobispo. The aim is to investigate the feasibility of irrigation of this area within the project promoted by the Diputación General de Aragon (Government of the Aragon Autonomy) "Study of the technic and economic feasibility of the canal of the right side of the Ebro river". The methodology of classification of the United States Bureau of Reclamation has been used, but in order to adapt it to our physiographic environment some modifications have been introduced. Analysis of 945 soil samples including physical, physicochemical and chemical parameters have made possible the characterization of the studied agrosystems and their groupment into six land classes of different agronomic utility.
