dc.descriptionIn this article I put forward the hypothesis that the author of the Arabic version of Orosius' Histories against Pagans was Hafs b. Albar al-Quti (2nd half of 9th century), who also translated into Arabic the Psalms. This hypothesis is based on evidence found in Kitab al-Masalik wa-l-mamalik by Abu Ubayd al-Bakri (11th century).-
