| Description: | This work presents the dynamics of a block as it slides down a semicircular track with both Coulomb's and viscous frictions. Analytical solutions and graphic forms of the equations for the velocity, acceleration and energy as functions of angular position are displayed and discussed for several friction coefficients. Following these solutions the plots as function of time for these damped motions are also presented. |
