dc.descriptionInnovative mathematics courses and programs for future teachers at all school levels are presented. These include a course for future elementary school teachers who have no confidence in their ability to do mathematics, specially designed mathematics minor and major programs for future teachers in consecutive education programs, and concurrent education programs that integrate the undergraduate and education components. An initiative to address the shortage of mathematics teachers in Ontario is also described.-
