| dc.description | Medicinal plants play an important role in the management of cancer especially in developing countries where resources are meager. This review presents the profiles of flavonoid containing plants with anti lung cancer properties. The profiles presented include information about the scientific name, family, methodology used, the degree of anti cancer activity and the active agents. The article has given the information about some of Indian medicinal plants like Ashwagandha, curcumin, lithospermum radix and green tea. The review also includes the scientific research information about the Chinese herb astragalus and Japanese herb Juzen-Taiho-To. These herbs are mainly studied against lung cancer by using various cell lines in recent literatures. The natural drugs are showing better results aginst lung cancer in the literature reviews. | - |
