| Description: | The analysis of composite steel-concrete beams requires to set, previously. the dimensions of each part of the beam for proceeding after that to adjuste them by un iterative process up to reach a reasonable approximation; the initial definition of that kind of sections is not easy because are involved a great number of parameters. This paper develops a direct procedure for obtaining the above mentioned pre-design of the beam including optimization criteria and a practica1 application by the use of tables containing usual edification situations.<br><br>El cálculo de vigas mixtas de hormigón y acero se realiza a partir de un predimensionado de la sección que se ajusta por un proceso iterativo hasta alcanzar una aproximación razonable; la definición inicial de la sección es compleja por las numerosas variables que intervienen. En este articulo se plantea un método de predimensionado incluyendo criterios de optimización, de fácil aplicación práctica por medio de tablas que corresponden a situaciones usuales en edificación. |
