| dc.description | This proyect was the result of a compefition in the city of Oviedo and is a complex of seven fowers on the soufh side and four more towers on the north side of a great plal/orm covering the rail tracks in the city centre. What is most characteristic about this proyect might seem to be its chromatic evolution from the range of reds fo blues, which meant somefhing new in this city, less usedperhaps than others to intense colours; but there are other characteristics which we were concerned with in itsproyection and construction. The colouring of the facades is obtained by the use of resin panels which have the colour included in their ingredients, and which hang at some distance from the interior brick walls, creating a ventilated chamber for the service installafions. In this way the exterior skin of the building is taut and limpid, avoiding the usual presence of tubes and apparatus which the extremepoverty of our building sysfems is normally incapable of concealing.<br><br>Este proyecto es el resultado de un concurso de arquitectura en la ciudad de Oviedo, se trata de un complejo de siete torres en el lado sur y otras cuafm torres en el lado norte de una gran plataforma que cubre la línea ferroviaria en el centro de la ciudad. Una de las características de este proyecto es su evolución cromáfica del rango de rojos a azules, hecho que significó algo novedoso en esta ciudad no tan usado en otra urbes en cuanto en el uso intenso del color; pero hay otras características en las que estábamos interesados con en su realización. El color de las fachadas se obtiene con el uso de tableros de la resina, prensados, que tienen el color adherido en su composición, dispuestos a poca de distancia de los cerramientos de ladrillo interiores, creando una cámara ventilada utilizada para las instalaciones de servicio. De esta manera la piel exterior del edificio es tersa, limpia y evitando la presencia habitual de conducciones y equipos que la pobreza extrema de nuestros sistemas constructivos de edificación son habifualmente incapaces de ocultar. | - |
