| dc.description | Fisac’s oeuvre has traditionally been defined in terms of its individualism, its non-association with any school or movement whatsoever. A deeper analysis of one of his best known lines of research, the hollow forms of prestressed concrete (his famous “bones”), reveals a host of engineers, practitioners and businessmen united around a common core of friendship and ingenuity whose work crystallized in an evolutionary process interesting in its own right.<br>This text is, therefore, a tribute not only to Miguel Fisac, but to all those who participated in this story, which lasted a mere ten years (the nineteen sixties): a story of risk, success and failure, where the architect often stood in solitude in the midst of a densely populated circle of engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors and inventors.<br><br>Tradicionalmente se ha destacado de Fisac su carácter individualista, no atado a escuela o movimiento alguno. Profundizando en una de sus líneas investigadoras más conocidas como son las formas huecas de hormigón pretensado, sus famosos “huesos”, es inmediato encontrarse con una nube de técnicos, prácticos o empresarios unidos por un hilo común de amistad e ingenio, cuyo trabajo conjunto cristalizó en un proceso evolutivo ya de por sí interesante.<br>Es por ello extensible este texto homenaje no sólo a la figura de Miguel Fisac, sino a todos aquellos que en el corto periodo de una década (los años sesenta) participaron de esta historia. Una historia de riesgos, de aciertos y de errores, donde la figura del arquitecto queda en muchas ocasiones aislada entre la densidad de ingenieros, aparejadores, constructores o inventores. | - |
