Description: The Andaste, built in Cleveland, Ohio in 1892, was a steel ship that carried gravel. On September 9, 1929 she sailed from Grand Haven, Michigan bound for Chicago with a load of gravel. A storm arose, and the ship and her 25-man crew were lost on Lake Michigan.
