Description: The "Atlanta" was a wooden passenger and freight steamer built in Cleveland, Ohio in 1891. It was owned by the Goodrich Transportation Company, organized in 1868 by Captain A.E. Goodrich (ca. 1825 - 1886). The ship sailed between Chicago, Illinois and the Michigan cities of Grand Haven and Muskegon. The "Atlanta" was destroyed by fire March 18, 1906.
