| dc.description | E. Bates in Trenton, Michigan, built the wooden passenger steamer the "Arrow" in 1848. She initially ran between Cleveland and Buffalo before navigating between Detroit, Monroe, and Toledo from 1855-1856. The "Arrow" was condemned in Green Bay in 1863, and her engine was purportedly transferred to the "Geo. L. Dunlap" upon its completion in 1864. | - |
